macbook= overrated. you could buy the same specs at a cheaper price lol. People who dont know about computers buy macs-true facts-most americans do especially college st. one reason why Apple has one of the lowest share in computers wordwide-made for republicans only. Did you guys know that macbooks have a higher malfunction rate than a Sony Vaio? Plus, many companies have already started selli

Do you think I should wait till the next gen comes out or get this one, cos i dont really need a super fast machine, just for school work and that kind of stuff.

It would have been nice for the new processor on the 13′ but if your getting the 13′ your probably not trying to get a powerhouse and the upped hard drive, ram, graphics and battery life are good improvements.

SHOULD I GET core i5 or i7 for 15 inch!?!?!?!?!? will i7 really be worth the extra 2-300

@brownswede75 Well, there is 5 cm difference between 15″ and 13″. But u need to pay 600 euro and even more for that bigger screen. But if u like games and u are not going to buy desktop computer from Apple in the future than I think that 15″ is the best way to go for u.

@Issaland so do you think the “13″ or “15″ MBP…I would like to buy one but I’m torn on which model? I play the sims too, if they helps making a decision. I know the “15″ has the HD graphics as well…ummmm really don’t know!

which one do you think i should buy the 13 inch (2.66 ghz) or the 15 inch ( 2.4ghz core i5)??? i will use it for casual surfing music creation windows 7 gaming movies and? photo editing, no to much professional use…

I don’t really care that the 13″ pro processor did not update to intel core i3, because they (Apple) still bumped up the processor speed, and upgraded the GPU. I was actually surprised that the price didn’t increase.
April 21st, 2010 at 12:07 pm
@Issaland No, but I’d rather get the new Intel i5 with a computer with higher specs than the 13″ MacBook Pro with lower specs. Plus, I just saved my self a couple hundred dollars.

@pibax Yeah, there should be an option with anti glare screen too. 13inch is Pro too after all! I even have anti gale film on my iPod Touch.

@jetfuel12 When u gonna get your Mac? I just wonder how long does it take. I am thinking to buy one online, because my local Harvey Norman does not sell the new collection yet and they don’t know when they will get the pricing and laptops from their supplier.

@demonrockgod ” I? personally think that if they upgraded the processor then it woudn’t be as cheap.” iThink u got it right.
April 21st, 2010 at 2:16 pm
@brownswede75 There is also difference in speed and battery life.

April 21st, 2010 at 3:53 pm
@CaseyTheDrummerBoy Well, but HP won’t run Mac OsX, and u can run Win on Mac
April 21st, 2010 at 4:10 pm
@Scarth07 Yes, if u are gonna using your laptop in light room like office or school. Matte screen is better for reading and won’t hurt your eyes.

Thank God I didn’t get one Yet
April 21st, 2010 at 5:18 pm
@christschool the auto GPU switching in the mac book is Apples own tech so up to them to provide support. Micrsoft does not have to make OS changes for Nvidia Optimus to work nore does Microsoft code Nvidia’s drivers. This has nothing to do with Micrsoft, its down the the hardware and perhaps drivers supporting the OS.

Its still better value for the bog standard Macbook, than 13.3 inch pro.
April 21st, 2010 at 5:43 pm
10 hour battery life is sick
April 21st, 2010 at 6:41 pm
@k1llmebill Thanks for that. I guess I will go ahead and buy now. Its just that I can’t afford to buy a new mac every other year. My current Mac is a 7 year old 17″ PowerBook G4 (1GHz gpu) with USB 1.1. I just can’t wait any longer. I thought maybe I’d buy a used Mac until USB 3 or even Light Peak comes out. If you think maybe 2 years for USB 3 then light Peak must be light-years away. I got burn with that USB 1. I think USB 2. came out a few months later–ouch.
